John James Emerges as Sole Conservative to take on Sen. Debbie StabenowJames is the Only Candidate for US Senate to Sign No New Tax Pledge; Endorsed by Michigan Right to Life PAC, the Senate Conservatives Fund, the American Conservative UnionLivonia, MI—U.S. Senate candidate John James received the exclusive endorsement of the Right to Life of Michigan PAC Tuesday, making him the only candidate running for U.S. Senate who will have the pro-life endorsement in the race. The Right to Life of Michigan PAC support follows strong conservative support from the Senate Conservatives Fund and the American Conservative Union (hosts of CPAC).“I am humbled and honored to receive the endorsements of the Right to Life of Michigan, the Senate Conservatives Fund, and the American Conservative Union,” James said. “Conservatives across Michigan and the country are coalescing to form a grassroots army for our campaign because they know we need a conservative outsider who has kept Americans safe and created jobs to unseat Sen. Stabenow and represent our values on the floor of the Senate.”“The years ahead will bring us new opportunities to defend the civil rights of the unborn, handicapped and elderly frail. Your support and leadership will be absolutely essential in restoring the basic right to life to the most helpless members of our human family,” The Right to Life of Michigan Political Action Committee said in a statement.“John James has served our country with distinction as a decorated military veteran and now he wants to take his independence and conservatism to the U.S. Senate,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. James was invited by the ACU to speak at CPAC 2018 about economic opportunity.“John James has never run for office, but he has all of the characteristics we look for in a candidate – he’s a true conservative, he has grassroots support, and he can win if he gets his message out,” stated Ken Cuccinelli, Senate Conservatives Fund President.James is also the only candidate to sign the “Taxpayer Protection Pledge” promising to oppose increases in marginal income tax rates for individuals and businesses. The pledge also opposes all net reductions or eliminations of deductions and credits without a matching reduced tax rate. His primary opponent recently stated to MIRS News he would not sign.National and state political observers are taking notice of James and his bid to unseat career politician, Sen. Debbie Stabenow. Politico, Axios and Fox News are monitoring the 2018 Michigan Senate Race and calling it up for grabs, because of his story and the strength of his candidacy.
