Rep. Paul Mitchell Endorses John James for U.S. Senate

Mitchell: “We need more conservative outsiders like John James
with real-world experience solving problems”

Macomb, MI – Congressman Paul Mitchell (MI-10) announced today his support for conservative outsider, combat veteran, and job-creator John James in his campaign for the United States Senate.

“When I decided to run for office, I believed Washington needed less career politicians and more political outsiders who had real-world experience solving problems. John James knows what it’s like to sign the front and back of a paycheck, and how to create jobs. I am proud to support John James for the United States Senate,” stated Rep. Mitchell. “John is a battle-tested conservative who puts country above self. He is an outsider that will shake up Washington and bring common sense solutions.”

John James is seeking the Republican nomination to face incumbent Debbie Stabenow in November 2018. James, a West Point graduate, served with distinction in Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his Army service, James returned home to Michigan to join the family logistics business. John grew the family business from $35 million to $137 million.

“I am humbled and honored by the support of Congressman Mitchell. Paul had an incredibly successful career in the private sector, and is exactly the kind of outsider needed in Washington,” said James. “Paul is a no-nonsense person who identifies a problem and works to solve it. I am honored to have Paul’s support and look forward to serving with him in Washington.”

Paul Mitchell was elected in 2016 to represent Michigan’s 10th Congressional District which includes the counties of Macomb, St. Clair, Lapeer, Sanilac, Huron, and Tuscola. For more information on John James’ candidacy, visit
